How do I make the crispy part of creme brulee?

Best way- use a blow torch (burner) if you have, if not, grill will do the work: Sprinkle a thin layer of granulated sugar. Take care that the whole surface is covered, because the creme itself will burn where there is no sugar. Use the blow torch, or Place it under the grill.
